Stephanie received a double bachelor’s degree (BS and BA) in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR)-Cayey Campus in 2022. She is a graduate student completing a Master’s in Science (MS) with a Specialty in Epidemiology from the Graduate School of Public Health at UPR-Medical Sciences Campus. As a public health scientist, her research focuses on social determinants of health, health disparities, mental health, and cancer. Stephanie is also passionate about science communication, community engagement, and mentorship. She has led and participated in various outreach initiatives to make science more accessible to the public, particularly in underserved communities, and enjoys mentoring students interested in STEM and public health careers. After completing her MS, she plans to pursue a PhD in Epidemiology.
